We are looking to get a video panel wall, we aren't really sure what we need aside from the monitors and the controller.

    Can you offer help/suggestions?

    Morgan,

There are quite a few things to consider when setting up a video wall. Listed below are a few...

    How many screens?
You'll need a controller that supports this number of screens.

    Desired screen layout?
Some controllers only support a fixed layout (e.g. EZWall-Pro 4x4 supports 16 screens, but does not support an 8x2 layout).

Is the video coming from one source? or from many different sources?
Some controllers send one source to the entire video wall. Other controllers have multiple inputs allowing you to matrix any source to any screen with the flexibility of utilizing multiple screen to display any source.

What' the distance between the controller/video source and the screens?
Some controllers connect to the screens using cables, requiring proximity. Others support CATx extension. Other extension options may include using additional video extenders, or Video-over-IP devices, or using a network of media players (with one media player per screen).

Do you already have the content? or do you need to create it?
Media players come with a authoring software allowing you to create your content. BrightSign media-players (via its authoring software) supports flexible video-wall setups.

Is your content static? or dynamic?
Not all controllers support content scheduling, but media-players do.

    Hope this helps!
