Keyboard/Mouse How to use 6 monitors and computers on one keyboard and mouse

    Hello,

We are looking to consolidate a few computers and monitors into one station. I was hoping to purchase a 6 monitor mount and a KVM to tie in the computers. The issue I'm having is I want them all to function with one keyboard and mouse.

I know the KVM can combine multiple computers onto one monitor but I would like to use 6 different monitors with the six computers tied to one mouse and keyboard in our dispatch center.

    Is this possible??

    Thank you.

Yes! And you can approach this in two different ways.

    1) Use a standard 8-port KVM switch but leave the screens connected to the computers while skipping the video connections between the computers and the switch. This will allow you to use the KVM switch to control your computers from just one keyboard/mouse set, while have each computer display its video on its own dedicated monitor.

    2) Use a KM (keyboard/mouse) switch which doesn't have video connections at all and accomplishes the same as the above with the additional convenience off switching control among computers merely by clicking the mouse cursor as it's on the monitor corresponding to the computer you're looking to control.
