I am looking at using the HKM-Pro for sharing mouse/keyboard and audio across four PCs but do not plan on using the HDMI. Will the unit function properly without having any signal present on the HDMI ports?

    Thanks

Yes, the HKM-Pro function properly without having any signal present on the HDMI ports.

    Please note, however...
    1) HKM-Pro only supports three (3) computer connections. The 4th port is for MHL and does not support keyboard/mouse connection.
    2) Since you are not looking to switch video via the switch, you may be better served by using a KM (keyboard/mouse) switch, which - depending on the model - may offer additional functionality such as mouse-cursor switching.
