I am looking for a 16x16 HDMI KVM switch manageable by one wireless USB keyboard and mouse.

That is I have 16 computers in a rack with HDMI output for which I need to send to its respective 16 LCD screen, that I need to manage using a single mouse and keyboard.

Kindly forward me the details, diagram of setup and quote for such a system.

To make sure we correctly understand your requirement:
    1) Are you looking to be able to send the HDMI video-only from anyone of your 16 computers to anyone of 16 LCD screens?
    2) What type of activity are you looking to manage with one keyboard/mouse?

Hi, thank you for you quick response.

I have 16 computer in a rack cabinet, each PC is linked via HDMI onto its respective LCD.

I want to be able to manage each computer via one keyboard and mouse and toggle between the screens like a KVM switch.

Each PC is running different application which is showing up on its respective screen.

I need to access the 16 screens using the single mouse and keyboard and toggle onto its receptive PC.

I have snapshots uploaded onto a PDF file. Kindly check the setup.

Looking forward to hear from you.

    Regards,

[IMG]Since each of your 16 PCs is connected to their own screen, it is our understanding you need a KM (Keyboard-Mouse) switch. This will allow you to switch to and control anyone of the 16 PCs, while still being able to view all 16 screens.

The simplest way is to deploy a 16-port KVM switch* and leave the PCs connected to their screens so that the video ports on the KVM switch remain untouched.
Take a closer look at DVN-16Pro and DVN-16P.

A 'nicer' way would be to deploy a KM (Keyboard-Mouse) switch* that also allows scrolling the mouse from one screen to the next, while automatically switching to and controlling the computer that is represented on the screen the mouse is pointing to. See K308. Unfortunately these KM switches are only available in 4- and 8-ports.

    * We are showing DVI switches because the availability of HDMI switches with such functionality is scarce. But since HDMI video is compatible with DVI video, all that is needed is a simple HDMI-DVI adapter.

I would like to get a quote please for the 16 port KVM switch which will enable this functionality, that is, allow me use a single mouse and keyboard (wireless) to access and switch between 16 computer visible and manageable onto its respective LCD screen.

On the other hand, it is for a Emtel Ltd, where I work as an IT specialist.

The product should be sent out to Mauritius, thus consider shipping and other related cost when compiling the quote. Else free shipping will be appreciated. :)

    Other requirements:
    1. Implementation plan
    2. Installation plan for the device in respect to actual configuration.
    3. Compatible Convertors.
    4. what if the number of screen increases in the future?
    5. Benefits it will being to the company compared with the actual system.

I have attached a proposal that will help you.

    Looking forward to do business.

    Hi,
    I had a closer look at DVN-16Pro and DVN-16P.

There is as slight confusion on how the PCs' are going to get connected to the KVM.

The ports available on the KVM switch seems to be of USB type B and the keyboard and mouse connection on the PC uses USB type A.

Kindly send me link of the cables that is needed to allow such topology.

    regards,

    IN

[IMG]This is a common USB interface between a computer and a KVM switch.

You should use USB A-to-B cables (such as these). Type-A plug gets connected to the computer. Type-B plug gets connected to the KVM switch. This one cable supports both keyboard and mouse interface between the computer and the switch.

    Hi again,

Kindly list all the accessories that will be needed for 16 computers.

It was understood that i will need:

    1. 16 Type A to B USB cables.
    2. 16 DVI to HDMI adapters (what kind of DVI? Is it male to female or vice versa)
    3. Anything else to allow this setup???

Please add the link to the product in the list.

    Regards,

Taking another look at your setup...

Since your 16 computer will each be connected to their own monitor, you could essentially deploy any 16-port USB KVM switch (without worrying about the type of video it supports). This will also be a lot less expensive!

Many of these switches (such as expreZo EZswitch or CS1316) come with all-in-one cables. In your setup, you will only need to connect the USB plus to your computers, leaving the video plug dangling.

    Thank you for the option.

    1) Can i use a wireless keyboard and mouse allowing all the features discussed?

On the other hand, it will be nice to have the link to a USB wireless keyboard and mouse that is rechargeable.

    2) How long are the provided cables?

    1) Using a wireless keyboard/mouse with a KVM switch may get trick and may not always work - see Can a wireless keyboard/mouse work with a KVM switch?

    2) The provided cables vary in length and by model. Look for the description of Package Includes at the bottom of the Details tab for any of the recommended products - the included cables, lengths and quantities are typically listed there.
