Switch 20 computers from one console

We currently have three 8-port KVM switches which are interconnected, supporting access and control of some 20 computers from one local console.

These KVM switches are failing and need to be replaced.

The computers support VGA video and USB keyboard/mouse.

    Can you offer a replacement?

Optionally, remote access may be an interesting feature to explore as well.

A good choice to control up to 24 of your computers using just one KVM switch (without daisy-chaining three boxes as you are currently set up) would be AdderView CATx 4000, 24-Ports.

    This high-density model features…
    - CATx cabling (and dongles) for improved cable-management
    - Support for four concurrent local users, which can optionally be extended up to 1000 feet away from the switch
    - One local console connection

A similar product - AdderView CATxIP 4000, 24-Ports - also supports one remote user over IP (LAN; WAN; Internet)

Alternatively, you can deploy a setup similar to the one you currently have, with three 8-port KVM switches which are daisy-chained together.

Some models to take a closer look at may include...
    CS1308
    expreZo EZswitch, 8-Ports

    Hope this helps!

Do I need a special cable for the EZ-108 to interconnect with each other? I’m looking at purchase 3 or these.

No. You use the same cable used for connecting to your computers.

For daisy-chaining, you use this cable to connect one of the 8 computer-ports to the console port of the next switch-box.

    Hope this helps!
