I'm looking to deploy an IP-based KVM system in which some 40 users will be able to access multiple computers. User stations should be of three types:
    - Qty 20 stations: Single view
    - Qty 17 stations: Dual view
    - Qty 3 stations: Triple view
(Counts are estimates, may be smaller initially and may grow over time).

    We will need support for:
    DVI video (1920x1200)
    Audio
    USB keyboard/mouse
    USB external drives

I was looking at ATEN solution but haven't seen triple-view support.

Can you help identify and price the best solution for this application?

  2. Lynn,

You could leverage AdderLink Infinity. For the triple stations, are these coming from three headed computers? If so, it would require two receivers at the user station (one ALIF2020 dual link and one ALIF1002 single link ). The same would apply at the computer for transmitters.

Please let me know if this is not the case and the triple user stations need to access multiple computers simultaneously. How many computers will be on the matrix and what are the DVI outputs (single, dual, triple) for each?

The Infinity can support different scenarios when using the A.I.M. management server. It's expandable and allows users access to any computer on the network with co-operative sharing and multicasting of video to any destination. Transmitters and receivers can be added as needed. You could also incorporate the CCS Pro4 at user stations . This would provide the user access to four different computers simultaneously on up to eight monitors (4 dual head) with free flow technology via a single keyboard and mouse. The user could still pull up any computer on the matrix.

To accommodate the triple-view, a combination of single-view and dual-view hardware will need to be deployed.

Assuming the triple-view is coming from a three-headed computer, this computer will need:
1x dual-head transmitter (such as AdderLink INFINITY Dual 2002T).
1x single-head transmitter (such as AdderLink INFINITY 1002).

The user station, in turn, will require:
1x dual-head receiver (such as AdderLink INFINITY Dual, Receiver).
1x single-head receiver (such as AdderLink INFINITY 1002, Receiver).

Do you have a count of computers (with the corresponding single, dual, triple video count)?

    For the Single-View - KE6900T/R
    For the Dual-View - KE6940T/R
For the Triple-View - KE6940T/R and KE6900T/R - (only if there are 3 video out puts on the Transmitter side; also different IP addresses will be needed)

Also the CCKM Matrix Manager will be needed. This is an expandable Management Software giving you the ability to add on when needed.
