I am looking at purchasing the 8x1 HDMI 1.3 Switcher.

My question is whether or not the input on the switcher can be controlled from the device itself in the event the remote is lost or damage?
If not, is it possible to order a second remote with the unit and/or is there a similar unit you sell that does allow for the input to be changed from the device itself.

[IMG] The 8x1 HDMI 1.3 Switcher offers an RS232 interface so any "dumb" terminal device can be used as a controller of this switcher via RS232.

We also offer the IR remote for purchase (if the original remote is lost) and it is not expensive. The remote-control model for this Switcher is Remote Control RMT-8 IR.

You can view all available Gefen remote controls here.
