Multi-screen 2 laptops/docking stations with common 3 monitors

I work remotely with 2 separate health systems and each have provided me with laptop, 3 monitors along with docking station, mouse and keyboard. Each are HIPPA compliant computers and do not have administrative rights to either computer.

First Laptop is Levono Thikpad T480 and the 2nd laptop is HP Elitebook 840 G3.

    My question is...
    1) is there a KVM switch which can connect both these computers with common 3 monitors, keyboard and mouse and be able to switch computers with a switch or
    2) is there a KVM switch that can connect 2 docking station and be able to share 3 common monitors, mouse and keyboard.

If there is a KVM switch, would you be able to tell me of what other wires i may need to accomplish this?

    Thanking you kindly,

    Minal

    Hello Minal,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Before specifically answering your question we want to point out a couples of notes:
    a) For KVM switching purposes, it makes no difference if the switch connects directly to your 2 laptops or to your 2 docking stations, as long as both have all the ports (video and USB) to support all the necessary connections.
    b) Assuming you want to use the 3 monitors for each computer (via the KVM switch) in an extended-desktop fashion, each laptop/docking station needs to have three video ports. If you only have one video port on each system, you can create additional video ports by utilizing USB video adapters.

Yes. Lookup Multi-Screen KVM Switches with either Triple Video-Head (small selection) or Quad Video-Head (larger selection). Use KVMGFilter to narrow down your search in terms of video interface, supported video resolution, etc.

    Hope this helps!
