We have 12 computers, each connected to their own monitor (VGA video) up on the wall.
We want to setup yet another monitor (a bit lower) on the same wall.

We want to be able to control the 12 computers with one USB keyboard/mouse (while each computer keeps displaying its video on its monitor on the wall).

When we switch control to any given computer, we want the video from that computer to also be displayed on the lower monitor.

Screens are about 15 feet away from the switch location.

    Any suggestions?

First, you will need to split the video coming out of each computer to create two video outputs per computer.
Use a 2-port VGA video splitter such as Port Authority2 Video+Audio Splitter or 1T-VGA-412 1x2 VGA Distribution Amp.

Then deploy a 16-port VGA/USB KVM switch such as Master View Max USB-PS/2 or expreZo EZswitch.
Run 12 KVM cables to connect the switch to 12 computers, connecting to video port #1 of each computer's video splitter.
Use video port #2 of each computer's video splitter to connect the computer to its dedicated monitor on the wall.

Connect one keyboard/mouse to the switch.
Connect the lower screen to the switch's console video port .

End result - each computer is constantly displaying its video on its dedicated screen on the wall.
Each computer you switch control to will also display its video on the lower screen.

Looking at the recommendation, I have a question.
Does this KVM switch support multiple outputs.
It is showing 16 x 1. I am assuming that is to a single output.
We need a KVM switch for multiple (16) outputs.

If we understood Jeremy correctly, each of the 12 computers will be constantly connected to its screen on the wall. This connection will be facilitated by port #1 on the video splitter each computer will have.

Port #2 on the video splitter each computer will have will facilitate the video input into the KVM switch, which will have only one video output, connected to the lower screen on the wall.

When you switch to computer A, keyboard and mouse will control computer A. Video on the lower screen will show computer A, while anyone of the 12 other screen keeps showing video from the respective computer it is connected to.

Hope this clarifies things better. If you need further clarification, please feel free to call 1-800-636-3434.
