Multi-screen 2 laptops, 2 docking stations, 2 monitors

I have a laptop (for work) and a laptop (for personal use) that I use side by side in my home office. I have 2 monitors with dual monitor stand. Each laptop has its own docking station.

I'd like to be able to switch between computers/monitors without having to disconnect from the docking stations, but rather toggle a switch so that both screens are easily usable for the laptops

Can I accomplish this with a KVM switch, and if so, what kind do I need? Do I need any software?

    Hello yordy,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter.

Yes. You need a multi-screen KVM switch that supports dual video-heads. Use KVMFilter to narrow down your search by Video Interface, then by Video Resolution (Max.). You may not want to limit your search by Number of Ports to 2 Ports, because some manufacturers make their entry level offering supporting 4 ports.

No. KVM switches are a hardware solution - no software required.

    Hope this helps!
