Switch Help Finding Switch

I need help finding a KVM switch, I keep swinging and missing so I am hoping you all know better than me.

    - Late model Mac and PC compatible
    - Computers will share a 4k Cinema monitor, Studio Monitors, and Alienware keyboard and mouse
    - a USB 3.0 port desired

Trouble I've run into with the KVM switch I have tried:
    - When monitor goes to sleep, no way to wake it up except through power cycling.
    - The keyboard and mouse don't work in the designation USB ports for EDID emulation, so I have put them in other ports with varying results (can't CMD+Z on the Mac). Honestly, while hot key switching would be cool, I rather like my keyboard and mouse and can live without to keep them.

    Hello Warden,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter.

Before we can point you in the right direction, we need some additional information about your setup. Please advise:

    1) What type of video connectors do you have on your Mac and PC?
    2) What type of USB connectors (and how many of each type) do you have on your Mac and PC?

    3) What do you need a USB 3.0 port for?

    4) Which KVM switch (make and model) did you try?

    5) EDID relates to video, not USB, so we're not sure what you mean by this. Please explain.

    6) What "other ports" are you referring to?

    Please advise.
