Extender CE990

    Hi,

    I want to use CE990 to extend a cell phone that has a USB-C port.

    I was thinking of connecting a USB-HDMI video adapter (such as this one) to the cell phone to facilitate the connection to the extender.

    Will this extension work?

    Thank you for reaching out.

    No control would be possible if only HDMI is connected to the extender. A USB connection must also be established, being that keyboard and mouse signals are carried over a USB connection.

    You would need to connect a docking station with HDMI and USB Type-A ports to the cell phone, then connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to the docking station and try using them to control the phone. If this works, then it's possible that the extender could control the phone as well. However, if the peripherals connected to docking station don't work controlling the phone, then the CE990 extender will never be able to control it either.
