I am looking for a KVM CAT-5 dongle which will have both a VGA and USB interfaces which can control both the mouse and keyboard functions.

I need it to be compatible with HP Proliant Servers, and the following KVM switches:
    HP: E01010
    Avocent: DSR 1161

[IMG]CAT-5 KVM dongles are proprietary adapters that facilitate a connection between a server's KVM ports to a KVM switch by using a standard CAT-5 cable.

Not only they are proprietary to a manufacturer, different KVM switches made by the same manufacturer may require the use of different dongles.

HP has OEMed its KVM switches (most likely from Avocent), which is why we cannot ascertain dongle compatibility with the HP E1010.

Avocent DSR 1161 can use the MPUIQ-VMCHS dongle to interface with a USB-VGA server. This Avocent dongle replaces the original DSRIQ-USB dongle.
