    Hello,

Kindly request your assistance w/ KVM recommendation(s) to switch between two computers sharing three monitors as described below:

    1. Work laptop (Dell Latitude 5240 attached to WD19S dock -- must use dock, b/c I frequently remove the laptop from the dock)

    2. Personal computer (HP Envy Desktop - 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10700F - GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER): 1x DVI, 1x HDMI, 1x DP, multiple USB

Monitors: Acer Nitro 28" Class UHD IPS Gaming Monitor (2x HDMI, 1x DP, 0x USB)

Would also like to be able to share audio, wireless USB keyboard/mouse, and external USB webcam.

    Thank you,
    steve

    Hello Steve,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter.

We are assuming you're looking to set yourself up with a console consisting of 1x keyboard, 1x mouse, 3x screens (extended desktop).
To accomplish this, both your dock (work laptop) and personal computer must have 3x concurrent video outputs.
If your dock doesn't have 3x concurrent video outputs, then you will need to create them by using USB-to-HDMI video adapters.

We recommend you go with a multi-screen KVM switch supporting HDMI to accomplish the most smooth and reliable switching experience.
Use a DVI to HDMI cable to connect your personal computer's DVI port to the switch.
Use a DisplayPort to HDMI cable to connect your personal computer's DisplayPort port to the switch.

Both recommend multi-screen KVM switch models support sharing speakers and external USB 2.0 webcam.

Please note that KVM switches typically do not support a wireless USB keyboard/mouse (learn more...).

    Hope this helps!
