IP KVM T/R pair or KVM Splitter?

I am going to join 2 networks using Unifi's Teleport - it's based on Wireguard's VPN technology. This should give me a common IP space on a local subnet, so I won't have to route across the internet. With this as the foundation, I need to have 4 workstations at site A and I need to be able to control them both locally (no KVM required - this will be direct console access) and from site B (at the remote site connected via Teleport).

I believe I can do this with something like the ATEN KE8900ST and ATEN KE8900SR (one per workstation). I don't believe I need the CCKM license since I'd be content to permanently link the T/R in pairs - no need to switch.

As I was working through the logistics of this, I ran across VOPEX USB KVM Splitters/Extenders. It seems like this might work and at <checks back of the napkin math> about 1/2 the price.

Are there other solutions that I should be considering?
