Switch Remote DDX users switching between their local console

I'm looking to set up a KVM switch with a total of 6 users and 3 computers.
3 users should be set up to access two (of the 3) computers.
All 6 users should be set up to access the other one computer.

However, each one of these users already has a local computer, along with a console at their desk, and so we'd like to use the same console and have each user be able to switch between their local computer and the remote computers (connected to the KVM switch).

I was looking at AdderView DDX30, but I'm not sure how to accomplish each user being able to switch between their local computer and the DDX computers.

    Can you advise a solution?

What type of video input do the users' monitors have (e.g. DVI; VGA; etc.)?

  3. The monitors have USB and DVI inputs.

AdderView DDX system can accommodate some of your requirements. In fact, being that the total number of your devices is 9 (3 computers and 6 users), you could actually go with the scaled-down DDX10.
AdderView DDX system will support your computers with VGA or DVI video, and will support DVI monitors.

However, there are some things you won't be able to accomplish with AdderView DDX system:
    1) You are not able to assign access-rights to users, and so all users will be able to access all computers (you will not be able to restrict 3 users to access only two of the 3 computers).
    2) AdderView DDX user-station does not support access to a local computer. You will need then to deploy a 2-port DVI KVM switch at each desk to facilitate using one user console to access both the local computer and the remote computers (connected to DDX).

Let us know if you are OK with these limitations, and we'll be happy to write up an equipment list for you.

Otherwise, you may want to consider KM0932 along with its compatible user stations.
KM0932 allows you to assign access-rights to users, and so you are able to restrict 3 users to access only two of the 3 computers).
The compatible KA7230 user station has built-in support for a local computer, and so you will not need to deploy a 2-port KVM switch at each desk.

However, KA7230 system only supports VGA video.

Please let us know which route you'd like to go, or if you have any follow-up questions.

I am OK with these limitations and would like you to write up an equipment list or cost quote.

    Excellent!

We're writing up an AdderView DDX10 system quote for you. You can swap the DDX10 with DDX30 if you're looking to make room for possible future growth.

Note: The quote is being e-mailed to you separately.

    Here's a diagram showing the proposed layout of a DDX-10 system. David-W.jpg
