Does the VE849R allow to watch different shows on different TVs from one cable box?

First off - the VE849R is a receiver unit, which requires a transmitter unit in order to accomplish the video extension.
You can purchase the two as a set (VE809), or you can purchase a transmitter (VE849T) and receivers (VE849R) separately. Up to 4 receiver units can be hooked up to one transmitter in one system.

One cable box is considered one source. Whatever channel the cable box is set to will get displayed on all screens in the system.

If you hook up a 2nd source to the transmitter, then one screen can be watching source #1, while another screen can be watching source #2.
