I’m looking for a KVM switch that connects my two computers to dual displays (one via HDMI and another via VGA).
I also need a USB connection for wireless keyboard/mouse and a speaker connection.

    Hello Jim,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter.

You'd be better off using HDMI across the board (computers and monitors) or VGA across the board, being that HDMI video is digital while VGA video is analog and the two are incompatible.
(See our offering of dual-video-head HDMI+USB+audio KVM switches. For a larger selection you might want to consider 2-port, dual-video-head DVI+USB+audio KVM switches, being that DVI video is compatible with HDMI video and only requires a simple HDMI/DVI adapters; Also see our offering of 2-port, dual-video-head VGA+USB+audio KVM switches).

If you must support HDMI and VGA in this system you could use StarTech SV231DDVDUA and use HDMI/DVI adapters. Another option is to use IOGEAR GCS1642 since it supports DVI-I, in which case you will need to use VGA/DVI adapter cables across one of the two boards to support your VGA equipment and monitor.

Typically, wireless keyboard/mouse don't "get along" well with KVM switches (learn more...). Some switches may support wireless keyboard/mouse, others may not, and the only way to tell is by trial and error.

    Hope this helps!
