IP Looking for KVM over IP

Scenario: Three users use 3 different computers which are 80 - 100 feet away. Individuals use each computer at the same time.

Looking for: Manageable KVM over IP so that those computers could be used at the same time by different users.

    Hello Chirag,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Not sure what you mean by Manageable.

You will need a multi-user switching system, allowing your 3 remote users to concurrently access and control anyone of your 3 computers. There are a number of different ways to accomplish this:

    1) A traditional KVM over IP switch supporting (at least) 3 concurrent remote users. The KVM switch gets connected to the network and the users use a networked computer to bring up a browser and connect to the switch, which - in turn - allows each user to access and control anyone of the connected computers. The down side of this solution is that you are paying for a large port-count (at least 16) while only connecting 3 computers.

    2) A 3x3 matrix KVM over IP setup (3x Transmitters by the computers; 3 Receivers by the users). Transmitters/Receivers get connected to the network but there is no need for a computer at the receiver end, only a console. (Note: some systems require additional software or hardware to support the setup of a matrix switching system).

    3) A multi-user KVM switch supporting at least 3 extended users (such as AdderView CATx 4000 and DDX10. Each user requires a User Station which is connected via CATx cable to the KVM switch (NOT via network), but there is no need for a computer at the user's end, only a console.

    Hope this helps!
