    Hello,

I am interested in the SmartAVI MU-88 and I would like to know more about it:
    - How many USB hubs does it add in series internally between an input to output connection? I know there can only be a maximum of five hubs in series for a USB connection, which makes this essential in my setup.
    - Is there a rackmount kit for 19" racks available?
    - Is the height of the device really full two inches? This would be a pity when I want to rack mount it because the device would take slightly more than 1U which is 1.75 inches in height.

    Best regards,

    Gabriel

    Hi Gabriel,

Thank you for your interest in the MU-88. To answer your questions:

    - How many USB hubs does it add in series internally between an input to output connection? Four

    - Is there a rackmount kit for 19" racks available? Yes, internally we have it setup as "RACK-KIT" and this includes the mounting brackets for the MU-88. I will work with KVMGalore to add this part as an accessory.

    - Is the height of the device really full two inches? No, I will reach out to the web team to fix this. It is exactly 1.75 inches.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you and Best Regards,

    Thank you for the reply!

That's a pity. From what I calculated, the device should add three hubs in series instead of four. However, this will exceed the maximum count of hubs for my setup, so it seems like I have to design my own device with off-the-shelf components. I should be able to go down to two hubs in series with an 8x7 configuration if I'm right.

    This is nice to hear!

Thank you for fixing this, it might have confused others too.

    Best regards,

    Gabriel
