Multi-screen Mac M1 config ?

Discussion in 'KVM' started by David Ashworth, Apr 19, 2023.

  1. I have an M1 Mac Book Pro and a Mac Air and 2 additional 35" monitors. I want a KVM switch to use for both computers, one wireless keyboard and trackpad, and minimal wires. What is the optimal setup? Each mac has 2 USB-C ports. I was hoping to not have to dongle from either but plug 1 or both USB-C into the KVM.

I also want to be able to figure out a way to dock the laptops under the desktop. Not sure what creative ideas you have seen.

    Hello David,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter.

Before we can point you in the right direction, we need some additional information about your setup:
    1) What are you looking to accomplish? Are you looking to set yourself up with 1x keyboard, 1x mouse and 2x monitors (in extended desktop setup), and be able to switch from one computer to another?
    2) What type of video connectors (e.g HDMI; DisplayPort; etc.) do your two 35" monitors have?

    Please advise.
