I am trying to figure out the best way to do the following:

Right now in my office, we have 2 separate laptop docking workstations, both with dual monitor setups, keyboards and mice…

I want to add a desktop computer between the laptop workstations and have the switch able to toggle between the desktop workstation and the original laptop workstations.

The idea being the two users on the original laptops can share the new desktop through the switch and still use their own monitors and peripherals.

Is this something that can be accomplished?

    Hello Thomas,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter and sorry for the delay.

Not sure what you're looking to accomplish.

A laptop user will not be able to control the desktop via a switch.

A KVM switch allows a user to use a console to control connected computers and switch between them. So if you connect the two laptops and the desktop to a KVM switch, they can all be controlled by one user via the switch. To support more than one user, you could deploy a 2-user KVM switch to support two users simultaneously controlling the 3 computers in a similar fashion.

    Hope this helps!
