I want to remotely connect to a MacBook Pro, using Parsec, at the native 5120x2160 resolution of my Lenovo p40w-20 monitor. It doesn't seem that I can create a virtual desktops at 5120x2160. So, if I plug in this EDID emulator to the MacBook, will it successfully create an external monitor at 5120x2160@60 that Parsec can use?

    DisplayPort 1.4 EDID Emulator
    Model No. DP8K-EDID-EMLTR

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hello chorn,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter.

If the MacBook Pro can’t support 5120x2160 @ 60Hz., then adding the DP8K-EDID-EMLTR unit at the MacBook Pro will not help to display this resolution on monitor.

If the MacBook Pro’s graphic resolution outputs more than 5120x2160 @ 60Hz., then the DP8K-EDID-EMLTR unit should meet this resolution requirement.

Please note that if the MacBook Pro has DP converter dongle connected between DP8K-EDID-EMLTR and MacBook Pro, the active dongle maybe effect display function.

    Hope this helps!
