Extender Gefen GTB-HDBT-POL-BLK IR issues

    I recently purchased Gefen GTB-HDBT-POL-BLK from you.

    I'm having a problem with the IR signal getting passed. The picture is coming through fine though. I have black box CAT-6 gigatrue UTP wire around 100' run. I've tried with straight RJ45 connectors and with CAT-6 keystones and CAT-6 patch cables. Same result either way.

    Do you have any suggestions on what the problem may be?

    The manufacturer notes that shielded (STP) CAT-5e or CAT-6 is recommended. Unshielded (UTP) CAT-5e or CAT-6 may be acceptable depending on cable quality but is not the top choice. Care should always be given to keep these cables away from power lines and other electromagnetic interference sources.
