Wireless HDMI from camera to computer

We are looking to transmit video from a high resolution camera into a computer wireless at 5 GHz. I see the wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver devices that can do the video transmission with very little latency. It is possible to connect the HDMI receiver into the laptop via USB port through some HDMI/USB conversion? It is my understanding that the HDMI port in the laptop or computer are working as output so it will not work to get video from the camera into the computer for processing or display later on.

A computer, unlike a monitor/screen, can only display files (which it runs through its video card), and so it cannot accept an external video signal from your camera.

Sorry this doesn't help resolving your issue.
