Switch Monitoring 12 computers from afar

    I have 12 computers each in their own cubical. From a control room located up to 30 feet away I would like to be able to monitor the video output of these computers on one screen, being able to switch to view anyone of the 12 video outputs.

    The user in the cubical needs to also have their own monitor. There should be no performance impact on the local video due to the remote monitoring.

    Video interface on the computers is DisplayPort and support for 2560x1440 resolution is required.

    To accomplish this, conceptually, you will need to deploy a few components:

    1) 12x video splitters. Each will split the video output from each computer into two. One splitter port will serve the local monitor. The 2nd port will serve the control room and will get attached to a video extender (see 2).

    2) 12x video extenders (transmitter+receiver set). Each will extend the video from the splitter's 2nd port over CATx over to the control room. Transmitter will be situated by the computer. Receiver will be situated in the control room.

    3) 1x 12-port video switch. Will be situated in the control room; will receive 12 video signals from twelve receivers (see 2); will connect to a local screen and allow switching between the 12 ports, in effect allowing the video monitoring of the 12 computers in the cubicals.

    Being that DisplayPort hardware to achieve the above is scarce at best, original video output should probably use and adapter to HDMI.

    There is currently limited availability in the marketplace for the above hardware supporting the high resolution you need. We are still searching for specific models that can accomplish this.
