I have three VGA-USB computers in one location that I want to be able to control from a 2nd location, 1000 feet away. Each computer should be controlled by both a local console (keyboard, monitor and mouse) by the computer and by its dedicated console at the remote location.

In the remote location I also want to set up a big screen on the wall that will simultaneously display the video coming from the 3 computers on one screen (with something like the TrippLite B1194X1MV).

Can you offer a solution to accomplish this?

    Hello Marc,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The solution for your application will comprise of four components:
    1) 3x VGA-USB KVM extenders with local access support. Models supporting 1000 feet extension over CATx may include:
    - AdderLink X-USB PRO
    - CE770
    - XTENDEX Hi-Res USB KVM Extender
    2) 3x 2-port VGA video splitters at the remote location (allowing the video from each remote computer to go to two destinations: a) The remote console, and b) the big screen on the wall (via a Multi-View video switch).
    3) 3x VGA to HDMI converters (converting the one of the VGA signals coming out of the VGA video splitters to HDMI before it goes into the Multi-View video switch). Models to consider include:
    - VGA & Audio to HDMI Scaler/Converter
    - KD-VCS500
    - VC180
    4) 1x Multi-View video switch to allow displaying the three video feeds onto one big screen.

    Hope this helps!

Updating my application needs: Downstairs (at the remote location) I'd like to have only one console allowing access to the 3 computers (as opposed to the original requirement for 3 dedicated consoles).

    Hello Marc,

Being that now you want to control the 3 upstairs computers from only on console downstairs (at the remote location), we will need to add a KVM switch to the mix. Your solution will now consist of five components:
    1) 3x VGA-USB KVM extenders with local access support. Models supporting 1000 feet extension over CATx may include:
    - AdderLink X-USB PRO
    - CE770
    - XTENDEX Hi-Res USB KVM Extender
    2) 3x 2-port VGA video splitters at the remote location (allowing the video from each remote computer to go to two destinations: a) The KVM switch, and b) the big screen on the wall (via a Multi-View video switch).
    3) a 4-port VGA-USB KVM switch, connecting each port to USB from the remote receivers (item #1) and one of the video outputs of the VGA splitter (item #2)
    4) 3x VGA to HDMI converters (converting the one of the VGA signals coming out of the VGA video splitters to HDMI before it goes into the Multi-View video switch). Models to consider include:
    - VGA & Audio to HDMI Scaler/Converter
    - KD-VCS500
    - VC180
    5) 1x Multi-View video switch to allow displaying the three video feeds onto one big screen.

    Hope this helps!
