We are looking for a 16 port KVM. All of our equipment uses USB keyboard and mouse. Most of our systems have HDMI, and we have a 1080p monitor to use with it. However we have 4 systems that have VGA only for output and cannot be upgraded with HDMI video cards. We need one local user to be able to access it. What would you recommend for this. I was looking at the KVM that use CAT5 for cabling, but the cost per endpoint module was very high. The systems are all in the same server closet so range to the computers is not an issue.

    Hello Mike,

Thank you for reaching out on our HelpCenter.

Being that HDMI (digital) video and VGA (analog) video are incompatible, only CATx KVM switches (by use of a mix of dongles) can support the two incompatible videos on one KVM switch.
Please have a look at these two options. Choose VGA dongles for the VGA computers and HDMI dongles for the HDMI computers (the compatible dongles are listed at the bottom of each product page).

    Hope this helps!
