Console Using my laptop as a KVM for a desktop

    We work in the field quite a lot and need to plug into audio/video players that don't have a monitor keyboard or mouse. Is there a simple way to use our laptops as a KVM? Thanks in advance!

    Before we can point you in the right direction, we need some additional information about your setup:

    a) What are these audio/video players? Are these computers?
    b) Do these audio/video players have a USB port?
    c) b) Do these audio/video players have a video port? What type of video port (e.g. VGA; HDMI; etc.)?

    The players generally use HDMI out. They also have USB ports. Sometimes they’re Windows but mostly some form of Android or Linux.

    CV211KIT01 will allow you to make a connection from your laptop to the audio/video player.
    It interfaces via USB (for keyboard/mouse) and via DisplayPort or HDMI or VGA video.
