I have been using a 2x KVM for over a year with no issues. This week I started having trouble with the video output from one of the computers. I have video when I boot but if I switch to the 2nd computer and later switch back to the first machine, there is no video signal. I tried plugging the hdmi cable directly from the PC to the monitor, but still no video until I reboot. This PC uses ryzen 5 3400g and video on the motherboard, so there is no video card. I don't know if I should try installing a video card, or switch to a KVM that fools the PC into thinking the monitor is always there.

Have you ever encountered a situation like this? What are my options?

    Thanks.
